Description

A metal-ceramic crown or PFM crown is a tooth coloured crown with excellent strength used for many decades to cover weak teeth. It has an inner core made of metal alloys Nickel, cobalt, chromium and has ceramic powder bonded and layered on it and baked in a sintering machine to provide high strength. PFM crowns have been used in back as well as front teeth, but PFM crowns lack the desired translucency for a natural looking appearance. Digitally made PFM crowns with warranty are available that have a precise fit, which cost slightly higher as compared to ordinary PFM crowns.
